Referral Routing
Criteria-based attorney matching that covers every dimension your service tracks: practice area, spoken language, office location, availability, and conflict status. The coordinator selects from a pre-filtered list — Qase has already done the checking.
The right attorney, determined before the coordinator picks up the phone.
A referral service's matching obligation is not just practical — it is a professional responsibility. Sending a caller to an attorney who is conflicted, unavailable, or outside the right practice area is an administrative failure with real consequences. Qase runs every check before the coordinator sees the results.
Multi-criteria matching
Practice area, geographic jurisdiction, spoken language, and current availability — all criteria applied simultaneously. Panel members are surfaced only when they meet every dimension. Your service defines which criteria are mandatory and which are advisory.
Conflict-of-interest checks
Qase cross-references the incoming caller's details against each panel attorney's existing matter records before generating the match list. Attorneys with a potential conflict are excluded from the results — not flagged for manual review, excluded. The decision log records which attorneys were screened out and on what basis.
Fall-through logic and panel rotation
If the first-preference attorney is unavailable or declines, Qase advances to the next eligible panel member — automatically, with a full log of each pass and the reason recorded. Services that apply panel rotation rules (equitable distribution of referrals across the panel) can configure those rules in Qase; the matching engine applies them at each step.
Attorney availability management
Panel attorneys set and update their availability windows directly in Qase — by day, by week, or for specific date ranges when they are on leave or at capacity. Coordinators see current availability at the time of matching; there is no phone call needed to confirm whether an attorney can accept the matter before the brief goes out.
